INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.

Saturday, March 2, 2024, Black Canadian Women in Action (BCW) proudly presents its annual International Women's Day Event

Featuring the insightful speaker, Betty Hines, founder of Women Elevating Women (WEW) USA. The 2024 theme, “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality,” calls on us to collectively recognize and celebrate women and girls championing transformative technology and digital education. It encourages the challenge of gender stereotypes and the fostering of understanding and value for the inclusion of women in all aspects of society.

In light of this, the event will spotlight women in Tech STEM innovation and other diverse backgrounds, celebrating their diverse accomplishments and recognizing their impact in bridging the digital gender gap. It will also emphasize the crucial need to protect the rights of women and girls in digital spaces, addressing online and ICT-facilitated gender-based violence.

Join us at the Edmonton Convention Centre - Hall C for a unique experience with our esteemed guests, engaging in a compelling panel discussion.

We are thrilled to invite everyone, including men and members of diverse communities, to this celebration. Dress code is Black Tie attire.

Betty Hines is a highly accomplished Business Strategist, Business Connector, and Certified Advanced Facilitator, who specializes in working with women businesses running multimillion dollar companies. Drawing on her extensive experience as a former C-Suite Executive, Entrepreneur, and Consultant, Betty is uniquely qualified to address the pressing issues for women businesses, which is why she founded Women Elevating Women aka WEW.

WEW is a global multinational, cultural, and ethnic organization of women entrepreneurs, CEOs, and professionals, with revenues ranging from six figures and above. The initiative is to bring women into an ecosystem that shares their expertise with others, promoting business profitability in cohorts called the WEWCREWS. The CREWs are introduced to the five success pillars: Connect, Collaborate, Communicate, Courage and Cultivate. These pillars serve as the bedrock of WEW’s platform aimed to scale businesses.
