Mental and Social Wellness Program
This is the BCW's Mental and Social Wellness Initiative for Women. This Program is to help navigate mental wellbeing of women and girls during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This program offers monthly webinar series' and workshops.
The aim of the webinars is to equip Black women in the community with tools to help effectively manage stress and manage their mental health during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond. Participants gain a better understanding of how mental health can affect their day to day lives and strategies to promote health and increase their wellbeing.
The workshops are informal and involve women from different communities and the topics are geared towards Mental Wellbeing. These workshops are led by women from these various communities which allow for free expression of thoughts.
EMPOWERMENT BY THE ART AND CULTURE
Women and girls attend workshops and various art expression clinics. Here, they find logistical support, advice from experienced members of the community, mutual help and sharing that allows for revival and creativity, the revelation of vocations and the realization of interests in various activities and projects.
INSPIRE, EMPOWER AND ENGAGE WITH CONFIDENCE
