  • Black Canadian Women in Action/ Femmes noires canadiennes en action (opérant sous  BCW In Action ou BCW) est un organisme bilingue à but non lucratif engagé à faire une  différence dans la vie des femmes, des filles et des familles des communautés noires vivant dans  l’Ouest canadien. Sa filiale, Centre des petites entreprises des Prairies (PSBC), est dédiée à  rassembler les entrepreneurs et les professionnels et à leur offrir des occasions de développement  personnel et professionnel. L’objectif de PSBC est de devenir un leader dans la construction  d’une communauté d’affaires noire forte dans l’Ouest canadien et dans l’autonomisation des  entrepreneurs noirs afin qu’ils puissent innover et conquérir les marchés nationaux et  internationaux. 

    PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS : 

    ADMINISTRATION 

    • Gérer les appels et courriels entrants, en dirigeant les demandes vers les membres  appropriés de l’équipe. 

    • Soutenir les femmes à la recherche de divers services communautaires en identifiant et en  communiquant les options offertes par les organismes. 

    • Tenir à jour les dossiers, horaires et documents du bureau. 

    • Organiser des réunions, ateliers et événements selon les besoins. 

    MÉDIAS SOCIAUX ET COMMUNICATION NUMÉRIQUE 

    • Développer et mettre en œuvre du contenu sur les plateformes de médias sociaux afin de  mobiliser la communauté et promouvoir les initiatives de l’agence. 

    • Mettre à jour et améliorer le site Web de BCW, en veillant à son optimisation pour  ordinateurs et appareils mobiles. 

    • Surveiller et répondre aux interactions sur les médias sociaux de façon positive et en  temps opportun. 

    • Participer à la création d’infolettres, dépliants et autres communications numériques pour  informer les familles et les éducateurs. 

    EXÉCUTION ET COORDINATION DE PROJETS 

    • Assister aux activités de projet afin d’assurer le respect des étapes clés. • Participer aux réunions de projet et suivre les éléments d’action, les livrables et les  soumissions de contractants. 

    • Surveiller et gérer les changements de projet. 

    • Appuyer l’équipe de gestion dans l’élaboration de critères d’évaluation et dans le suivi  des calendriers.

    • Mettre en œuvre les plans de gestion de projet pour garantir la livraison sécuritaire,  ponctuelle et conforme au budget et au mandat. 

    • Préparer et tenir à jour la documentation clé du projet. 

    • Rapporter avec précision l’état d’avancement du projet conformément aux normes de  l’organisation. 

    • Maintenir une communication efficace avec le gestionnaire de projet. • Suivre les indicateurs de performance et contribuer aux initiatives d’amélioration  continue. 

    ENGAGEMENT COMMUNAUTAIRE 

    • Effectuer des activités de sensibilisation dans diverses communautés ethnoculturelles  francophones. 

    • Mobiliser et communiquer avec les parties prenantes. 

    • Appuyer la participation de BCW à des événements et initiatives communautaires. • Collaborer avec des organismes et partenaires locaux pour promouvoir l’implication  communautaire. 

    • Contribuer à l’organisation d’activités de collecte de fonds et de sensibilisation caritative. QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Diplôme en administration de bureau, marketing, travail social ou combinaison  équivalente de formation et d’expérience. 

    • Minimum de deux ans d’expérience en administration de bureau ou en service à la  clientèle. 

    • Excellente maîtrise des plateformes de médias sociaux et des outils de communication  numérique. 

    • Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale. 

    • Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches et à bien organiser son temps. 

    • Capacité démontrée à travailler en collaboration au sein d’une équipe. • Passion pour l’engagement communautaire et la défense des femmes et des filles. • (Certificat en marketing des médias sociaux – un atout). 

    AUTRES EXIGENCES: 

    • Permis de conduire de classe 5 valide et dossier de conduite vierge. 

    • Grande capacité à gérer plusieurs projets avec des délais serrés. 

    • Excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles et communicationnelles en français, à l’écrit  comme à l’oral. 

    • Capacité à travailler de façon autonome tout en contribuant à une équipe collaborative. • Compétences éprouvées en résolution de problèmes et souci du détail. • Solides aptitudes à établir des relations avec les parties prenantes internes et externes. • Flexibilité pour répondre à l’évolution des exigences du projet et aux urgences.

    - Government and government relations are a plus

    Time Commitment:

    3 hours per month for board meetings, attendance at BCW In Action events, 2 year term with an option to renew.

    The Camp Counsellor is responsible for ensuring the safety, engagement, and personal development of youth participants through mentorship, activity facilitation, and skill-building initiatives. This is a dynamic role suited for individuals passionate about youth leadership and community service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mentor youth participants in developing soft skills and reaching learning goals.

    • Plan and lead weekly group activities that are educational and enjoyable.

    • Support participants’ use of digital tools and maintain related equipment.

    • Collaborate with other staff to align on shared camp goals and initiatives.

    • Conduct assessments and track participant progress throughout the program.

    • Create inclusive, engaging environments that support personal growth.

    • Document activities, incidents, and achievements consistently and accurately.

    • Integrate creativity into camp planning to make learning fun and meaningful.

    Qualifications:

    • Full-time post-secondary student in Social Work, Education, Recreation, or Community Support.

    • Fulltime Student, returning to school.

    • Experience or interest in working with vulnerable populations.

    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Ability to plan and implement structured programming.

    • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office Suites, social media and technology).

    • Responsible, empathetic, patient, and motivated to make a difference.

    Time Commitment:

    • Full-time summer position

    • Must be available for orientation and all scheduled camp dates.

    • Use trauma-informed and de-escalation strategies to manage crisis situations effectively.

    • Collaborate with families, educators, and community agencies to support youth development goals.

    • Conduct assessments, track progress, and maintain thorough documentation.

    • Facilitate the development of life skills, coping strategies, and positive peer relationships.

    • Advocate for the rights and needs of children and youth in various settings.

    • Participate in case conferences and contribute to personalized care and service plans.

    • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times.

    Qualifications:

    • Full-time post-secondary student in Social Work, Education, Recreational Studies, or Community Support.

    • Must be returning to school in the fall.

    • Experience or interest in working with vulnerable populations.

    • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, youth development, and behavior management.

    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Ability to plan and implement structured activities independently and collaboratively.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media, and other technology platforms.
